§ 1.1. Municipal corporation continued; name and style; general right; privileges and authority.

The City of Manassas Park, notwithstanding any other provision of law, shall be and continue to be a municipal corporation under the name and style of the City of Manassas Park, clothed with all the rights, privileges and authority granted it under this Charter and by the general laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. The City of Manassas Park shall have perpetual succession, may sue and be sued, contract and be contracted with, and shall have a corporate seal which it may alter at its pleasure.
