§ 5.7. Present ordinances and rules and regulations continued in effect.

All ordinances of the city and the former Town of Manassas Park and all rules, regulations and orders legally made by any department, board, commission or officers of the city and the former Town of Manassas Park, in force at the effective date of this Charter, insofar as they or any portion thereof are not inconsistent therewith, shall remain in force until amended or repealed in accordance with the provisions of this Charter. No ordinance, petition or suit adopted or filed by the former Town of Manassas Park shall be invalidated or dismissed by reason of the Town of Manassas Park having become a city.
