§ 25-128. Administration.

A.

The director of public works or designee shall administer and enforce the provisions of this article under the direction of the city manager or designee.

B.

It shall be the duty of the director of public works or designee to cause assessment to be made of properties served by the waterworks where cross connection with the waterworks is deemed possible. The method of determining potential cross connection with the waterworks and the administrative procedures shall be established by the director of public works or designee in a cross connection control and backflow prevention program (program) approved by the Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of Health, Division of Water Supply Engineering.

C.

The responsibility to carry out the program lies with director of public works or designee.
