§ 2-11. Members of police department, fire department, volunteer fire company and rescue squad designated as part of official safety programs and entitled to benefits under Line of Duty Act.

The city hereby recognizes all members of the city police department, fire department and the members of the city volunteer fire company and rescue squad as an integral part of the official safety program of the city and they shall be recognized and entitled to receive benefits under the Line of Duty Act pursuant to Code of Virginia, §§ 9.1-400—9.1-406, as amended.
