§ 3.13. Election and general powers and duties of commissioner of revenue and city treasurer; filling of vacancies.

By general election every four (4) years, there shall be elected by the qualified voters of the City of Manassas Park a commissioner of revenue and a city treasurer. In case of a vacancy in the office of commissioner of revenue or city treasurer, the vacancy shall be filled in accordance with general law. The city treasurer and the commissioner of revenue shall have such powers and perform such duties and receive such compensation as are provided by the Constitution of Virginia, and, except as are otherwise provided in this Charter, as are provided by the provisions of general laws for cities.
